Hey guys! Hope you all are having a great week. I spent this past Sunday walking around Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It's such a great place...totally my vibe :) I wore my Colette Malouf mauve satin wrap with black wire flowers, so pretty and so unique! I didn't have a particular theme when I took the photos, just wanted to find interesting backdrop which I did....I found a gardening shop and took pics in front of a wall covered in branches. Though I think it's pretty cool how the branches are intertwined just like the wire on the flowers on the headband. I wrapped the extra satin fabric around the bun in my hair. That's a great way to wear it, if you don't want to let the fabric hang loose. You can wear this head wrap for a formal occasion, it's pretty dressy and very ornate. I chose to wear it with a silk dress by Marc Jacobs.
My second stop was at the park today in Staten Island where I chose to debut my latest headband design that I made on Sunday. It's a golden brass headband decorated with leaves (very grecian looking). I love it!! I've always wanted a headband like this, but could never find it in a store!! It's a great piece to wear for a very formal occasion such as a wedding, party, or a very special event! I am also wearing two other headbands in the pics, one with white pearls cascading from branches of gold wire. This headband is also a very formal dressy piece, maybe even a bridal piece. The second band designed by Natasha, is a trio of flowers made from ivory chiffon fabric and white pearls in the center of the flowers. This headband can be worn with a more informal outfit ie. going out with friends, to work etc. The park was the perfect setting for taking pics of these headbands. All three bands have a very ethereal soft flowing look, and the breeze, beautiful lake, and petite flower petals in the park completed the imagery.
So I hope you guys enjoy all of the headbands that I chose to display this week. More to come....Stay tuned and don't forget to post comments on your favorites ;)
Till next time.....~ Hettie
